What is SCC?
Sports Club Council is a resource center for all club sports at Western Michigan University. SCC is committed to promoting sports clubs at WMU by providing resources and support to help ensure the growth of club sports at our university.
Why join SCC?
Active groups will have the opportunity to enjoy the following benefits:
- Access to the Club Field located at the West end of the IM Fields, IM Fields, IM Soccer Fields, the Seelye Center, and use of the SRC during selected hours. All requests for practice space are done through the Department of University Recreation.
- Special SCC practice times at no charge.
- Access to SCC funds for facility rentals, team entries to tournaments, and association costs.

SCC Meetings
All meetings will be held at 9 p.m. in the SRC room 3014. The dates for fall 2009 SCC meetings are as follows:
September 22
October 6 & 20
November
3 & 17
*Please note on November 17 we will be discussing space allocations for spring 2010
How do you get involved?
Simply attend the monthly meetings, and actively participate
in the Council. Email
the SCC for more information.
SCC Expectations
- Attend all SCC meetings
- Help fundraise for the SCC account
- Provide a roster list/waiver form for all club members
- Prepare your budget on time and in the correct format for the executive board to review
Sports Club Member Expectations
As a member of the SCC community you have individual responsibilities to the group as well, and they are:
- Be Educational - learn, listen and teach each other throughout the year.
- Be Respectful - listen to others and help whenever possible
- Be Responsible - attend all meetings (if you must be absent, send a representative)
- Be Organized - Prepare your budget on time and in the proper format for the Executive Board to review
SCC Funding Process
In order to be eligible for SCC funding, the club must:
1. Be registered through SALP
2. Download and Complete the SCC Registration Form
3. Submit signed team waivers for all members to Amy Seth, SCC advisor, in the main offfice of the SRC
4. Be in good standing with SCC (includes mandatory attendance at bi-monthly SCC meetings)
